Alkureehy is the Acting Head of the Youth and Sports Department in the Southern
Transitional Council (STC). He has been active with the STC since its launch in 2017. He
is also one of the co-founders of the student coordination body in Aden University that
was formed in 2012, which was one of the components of the Southern Movement. He
holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics from the Faculty of Education, Aden
University, and a degree in public relations from the Faculty of Arts, Aden University
and a master's student in public relations.

Ibrahim Jalal is a Senior Researcher and Policy Advisor. His research explores third-
party-led peace processes; maritime security in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden; the

proliferation of non-state actors and its implications on the implementation of peace
agreements, post-war security orders and stabilization; the politics of social assistance
in fragile and conflict-affected states; the foreign and defence policies of the Gulf and
Western states in the Arabian Peninsula and African Horn; and the evolving regional
security architecture. He has worked with the United Nations, Malcolm H. Kerr
Carnegie Middle East Center, the Middle East Institute, the Overseas Development
Institute, Sussex University’s Institute of Development Studies, and Chemonics. He

regularly briefs senior officials, appears for commentary on BBC, CNN, France 24, al-
Jazeera and Al-Arabiya, and partakes in tracks 1.5 and 2 dialogues.

Ahmed is the Cultural and Environmental Affairs advisor to the Governor of Al-Mahra governorate since 2020. Before that, he was the Media Secretary to the Governor’s Office from 2016 to 2017. He was the official spokesperson for the General Council of Al-Mahra and Socotra, as well as for the peaceful sit-in committee in Al-Mahra. Ahmed is also a program producer and presenter at Al-Mahra Local Radio. He contributed to establishing multiple local newspapers and media sites in Al-Mahra. He led multiple initiatives that aimed to maintain peace and stability in Al-Mahra governorate, to preserve its identity, and cultural and linguistic distinctiveness.

Ahmed currently serves as Minister in the Yemeni government, also he is the
Chairman of the Aden Centre for Historical Studies, Research and Publishing, and the
official spokesperson of the Southern Youth Forum in the United States of America.
Ahmed is also a close advisor to the Presidential Office. He has contributed to
multiple peacebuilding efforts that sought to form a vision for sustainable future
solutions in Yemen by promoting networking with groups of activists and
researchers. Furthermore, Ahmed works on bridging the views among political
leaders with different political orientations. Ahmed holds a bachelor's degree in law.

Akdar Mukhtar is a legal advisor with a Master's degree in International Law, specializing in dispute resolution mechanisms. She is a founding member and the president of the Community Protection and Development Support Foundation (CPDS). Akdar is also a member of several active women's and youth networks and entities. Additionally, she works as a project consultant and trainer in protection programs, gender issues, and the empowerment of youth and women. Akdar serves as a trainer and program manager in transitional justice, peacebuilding, and various other training programs. She is an advocate for the political empowerment of women and youth.

Amal is a lawyer, human rights and protection trainer and a member of the Nasserist
party. She works on monitoring and documenting human rights violations. She's one
of the volunteers at the Yemeni Women's Union who provide legal services to women
subjected to gender-based violence. She conducted multiple studies on human rights
and legal protection. She also works in facilitating training workshops and preparing
and submitting working papers in the same field. She has taken several training
courses in Yemen and abroad concerning the field of rights and development. She
works in providing judicial aid to women and has the skills to build relationships with
others. She holds a bachelor's degree in law. She works as a volunteer providing legal
aid and consultations to journalists at the National Organization for Media
Professionals (Sada) under the Dhaman Project for the Protection of Journalists.

Ranya is the office manager of the director of the Presidential Office. She's a member of the National Authority to Oversee the Implementation of the National Dialogue Conference (NDC) Outcomes, and member of the Inclusive and Sustainable Development working group in the NDC. Ranya is a defender of the rights of women and youth, and she contributed to the constitutional recognition of women's rights in the new constitution. She worked with various civil society organizations on issues related to sustainable development, security, peacebuilding, and reconciliation. She also worked on the political empowerment of youth and women. Ranya is interested in building youth capacities and integrating them into social and political life. she holds a PhD in management from Malaysia, and has a master’s in the same field.

Sukaina is a social and political writer, specializing in women's issues and human rights. She has been a member of the support team for the political development forum dialogue since 2016 and is currently the General Director of Women in the Department of Civil Society Organizations and Human Rights at the General Secretariat of the Prime Ministry in Sana'a. Sukaina holds a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and a Diploma in Human Rights, giving her a deep understanding of the challenges facing marginalized communities. She is a valuable asset to any team working towards promoting social justice and positive change.

Salem is a writer of analytical and insightful articles that contribute to raising public
awareness, as well as constructive critical pieces across various fields, which are widely
published on different social media platforms.
Salem is a political activist interested in public affairs in Yemen, particularly in their
political, economic, and human rights dimensions. He has also participated in numerous
public programs aimed at shaping the features of a better future. In addition, he has
taken part in various activities with the Hadramout Inclusive Conference and its different
bodies between 2019 and 2024.
He has also participated in several community initiatives, as well as discussion forums
focused on developing real solutions to public issues, both at the national level and in
specific geographic contexts. Salem holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business
Administration.

Sahar Abdel Salam is the Head of the Women's Sector for the Socialist Party in the Northern Region (District 17) and has been a member of the Provincial Committee of the Yemeni Socialist Party in the Capital Secretariat since 2007. She is also a founding member of the Humanitarian Social Initiative ("Humanity Unites Us"), which was established in mid-2017 by a group of youth activists and doctors. Additionally, she is a member of the "Jafn Initiative," which supports the mental health of journalists and those forcibly disappeared, and a member of the "Nidaa Foundation for Coexistence and Development," which advocates for the rights of religious and ethnic minorities in Yemen. Sahar is a writer and member of the "Maqah" Story Club, with numerous works in poetry and fiction. She has also participated in initiatives related to women's struggles, the protection of women from violence, the rights of religious minorities, and gender equality in the modern era.

Adnan is a journalist and researcher, and a member of the Foreign Relations Department
of the Islah Party. He previously worked for the newspaper “Al-Masdar” and “Al-Masdar
Online,” and later served as rapporteur of the Executive Bureau of the National Alliance
Parties in 2020.
He has participated in international conferences and forums addressing the Yemen
conflict, and his analyses and research papers have been published by several
international think tanks, including the Sana’a Center for Strategic Studies, the Carnegie
Middle East Center, the Center for Combating Terrorism at West Point, and others.

Engineer Mohammed Al-Amrani is a rapporteur and member of the government’s
political negotiation team for peace talks. He currently serves as the Head of the
National Information Center at the Presidency.
Al-Amrani previously held the position of Head of the Technical Office for Political
Consultations, through which he participated in all stages of negotiations and their
technical aspects. He also actively participated in all phases of the Riyadh Agreement
between the government and the Southern Transitional Council.
Al-Amrani also works in the field of public policy and holds a Master’s degree in Public
Policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Mustafa is a member of the Central Permanent Committee of the General People's Congress. He has worked in supporting and advocating for youth inclusion, trust-building mechanisms, humanitarian response, and addressing the effects of the war. He also served as an advisor to the Arab Union for Creativity and Innovation. Mustafa is a researcher at the Rawafed Center, which focuses on studies related to topics such as equal citizenship values, social justice, the role of minorities in society and the protection of social cohesion, as well as peacebuilding and reconstruction mechanisms. He has held several positions in civil society organizations, including serving as President of the General Union of Yemeni Children, a member of the Secretariat of the Yemeni Youth Union, and Director of the Future Generations Center. Additionally, he contributed to the establishment of several organizations, including the Yemeni Youth Coalition for Peace.

Wadhah Bin Buraik is a member of the Political Bureau and Head of the Organizational Department in the Political Bureau of the National Resistance. He also currently serves as the Deputy Director General of the Yemeni General Corporation for Oil and Gas at the Ministry of Oil. Wadhah is an active advocate for supporting his country and has contributed to numerous initiatives aimed at promoting peace and development. He has experience working on various public reform programs and providing recommendations and reports focused on political and economic reforms. Wadhah has participated in numerous meetings led by the Special Envoy to Yemen and with ambassadors from permanent member states of the UN Security Council, as well as some European Union countries, to resolve the crisis in Yemen. He has also served as the President of the "Youth and Students Committee of the Hadramout Development Association in Sana’a" since 2015.

Amir Addin is the head of the Insan Organization for Rights and Freedom. He is a prominent human rights activist, with a specific focus on issues related to civilian detainees and kidnapping. Amir himself was kidnapped and held in Marib prisons for a period of two years, from 2016 to 2018. In his book, "A Journey Behind Bars," he shares his personal experience of this harrowing ordeal. Along with his work in human rights advocacy, Amir also holds a Bachelor's degree in General Medicine and Surgery.
